About me
Hi! I´m Matteo Tucci, scientist by day and illustrator by night. Currently working as postdoctoral research fellow for the Water Research Institute (IRSA-CNR, Italy), I channel my scientific expertise into crafting scientific illustrations tailored for a myriad of purposes, be it for journal articles, posters, presentations, theses, teaching and project proposals.
My academic background in environmental science has equipped me with a versatile knowledge base in various fields, such as geology, botany, zoology, microbiology, ecology, histology, physics, and chemistry. This broad spectrum of knowledge, coupled with my lifelong passion for art and graphics, allows me to produce visually captivating images that effectively convey complex scientific concepts, illustrate projects, showcase experimental setups, and much more.
I believe that clear and eye-catching images can help to reach the mind and the heart of the viewer, transcending age, culture, and personal experiences. Furthermore, appealing and clear visuals play a pivotal role in enhancing the impact of groundbreaking discoveries and ideas within the scientific community.
If you have a project in mind don't hesitate to reach out! I'm always eager to collaborate on ventures that push the boundaries of visual storytelling in service of science. Let's bring your ideas to life!
